Dear Daniel,
We chose a very well respected architect in the area, Michael Jones Architects, and they in turn asked 3 suitable building firms, for the size of job and the listed status of the house, to tender. We knew that the tender price was going to be important in our final choice but just as importantly the relationship between us and the builders had to work.
DHD headed up by Daniel Zimbru and Irinel Buzenschi, were finally chosen and we began an intense relationship of more than a year. The architects remained part of the mix as the job was large and complicated. We converted two properties into one, tanked the basement, refurbed to a high level.
The DHD team worked extremely hard, kept within budget constraints and timetables. I spent a lot of time with them in a hard hat and they remained calm in all circumstances, showed huge respect to us which we hopefully returned. There was always someone I could communicate with on site if Daniel or Irinel were not present, but Daniel responded to messages immediately. We felt connected and updated constantly.
We will use them again, unless they are just too in demand!
